Volunteer

Au Contraire is run by fans, for fans. That means we need your help! There's a massive amount of work involved in running an SF convention, all done by unpaid volunteers. A little bit of your time before or during the convention makes a big difference.

It's too late to volunteer for AC2013, but feel free to let us know if you're interested in helping out in future!

NB there are no financial benefits to volunteering; the con has costs to cover, and a large proportion of the membership is involved in helping to run the con in one way or another. Even the concom pay the normal membership rates! But it's a good way to get to know people, and you'll earn the gratitude of other fans, and the satisfaction of knowing you helped make the event happen.
